Geese in the Cabin
This pattern makes a 72” x 72” quilt.
During this class you will learn the tips and tricks to create this design without the specific ruler that the pattern uses.
You will be able to make a pillow or wall-hanging or get a good start on a larger quilt during class. Pattern is required and included in the cost of the class.
There will be cutting “homework” before class. The cutting directions will be sent to you once your class registration is complete.

(I have pieced a few projects and am comfortable sewing with a 1/4" seam)
GENERAL SEWING SUPPLIES NEEDED:
Sewing machine in good working order
1/4" foot for your machine- if you have one
Rotary mat and rotary cutter
6" x 24" quilting ruler
Straight pins
Scissors
Thread- we prefer you use a 50wt cotton thread
Pen and pencil
Paper to take notes
Instruction for this beginner course provided by Courtenay Hughes. She will focus on the following fundamentals:
- Straight Cutting
- Benefits of pressing
- Straight stitch sewing
- Accurate 1/4" seam allowance
- Aligning multiple seams and points.
Classes will take place in the classroom of the Missouri Quilt Museum. Please enter through the NORTH DOOR located at 300 EAST Bird, Hamilton Missouri 64644. Classroom doors will open 20 minutes prior to class start time.
CLASS AND CANCELLATION POLICES:
Classes must be paid for in full at time of sign up. If you cancel more than 3 days prior to class, a refund or class transfer will be given ( your choice). If you cancel less than 3 days prior to class you may transfer to another class. If MQM cancels the class, you will get a refund or class transfer- your choice. Please bring all class supplies, and have any "homework" completed prior to coming to class. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
