"Colville" Pattern by Leonie Bateman Designs.

Finished Size: 72" square

This beautiful physical quilt pattern includes both applique and traditional pieced quilting. Leonie provides a well written pattern will guide you through the steps of creating this stunning quilt with ease.

Requirements:

Cotton Fabrics

  • 4 3/4 yard Brown confetti cotton for background, piecing and binding
  • 16" Light Cream for piecing
  • 24" Dark Cream for piecing
  • 26" Cream floral for pots (to fussy cut)
  • 20" Blue floral for main flowers (to fussy cut)
  • Fat Quarter Coral print for leaves
  • Fat Eighth of seven different prints for leaves, berries and flowers
  • Fat Sixteenth blue stripe for base of pots

Washed Woven Wool

  • Fat Quarter Red for flowers and large leaves
  • 6" Light Green for stems
  • Fat Eighth Pink for birds

Other Requirements:

  • Aurifil 28wt. Cotton Mako thread in colors to match your chosen wools
  • 20" Freezer Paper
  • Stapler, Water Soluble Glue Stick and General Sewing Supplies

 

Meet your Designer: Leonie is a Fabric Designer with Penny Rose Fabrics, sister company to Riley Blake Designs. She is also a Pattern Designer, specialising in woven wool applique and she loves nothing more than spreading her love of woven wool and her unique technique in her designs with others, by her many teaching engagements both in Australia and overseas.
