Binding – Four Ways
This class will be all about binding - making binding strips all the way to the finishing stitch, by hand and machine.
In this class you will learn binding techniques by putting binding on four placemats, each one with a different binding technique. These include hand stitching to the back, machine stitching to the front and flange binding stitched to the front. You will have four placemats to take home at the end of class.
The placemats in the kit are already quilted and cut to size, ready for the binding.
Instruction Cost: $40
Kit cost: $25 (Payable to instructor at class.)
Saturday, March 25
Time: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
(30 min. lunch, on your own.)
Difficulty Level - ( I have pieced a few projects and am comfortable sewing with a 1/4" seam )


GENERAL SEWING SUPPLIES needed for this class

Sewing machine in good working order

1/4" foot for your machine- if you have one

Rotary mat and rotary cutter

6" x 24" quilting ruler

Straight pins

Scissors

Thread- we prefer you use a 50wt cotton thread

Pen and pencil

Paper to take notes

CLASS AND CANCELLATION POLICES:

Classes must be paid for in full at time of sign up. If you cancel more than 3 days prior to class, a refund or class transfer will be given ( your choice). If you cancel less than 3 days prior to class you may transfer to another class. If MQM cancels the class, you will get a refund or class transfer- your choice. Please bring all class supplies, and have any "homework" completed prior to coming to class. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Classes will take place in the classroom of the Missouri Quilt Museum. Please enter through the NORTH DOOR located at 300 EAST Bird, Hamilton Missouri 64644. Classroom doors will open 20 minutes prior to class start time.
